The school’s music department, led by the extravagant Mrs. Schoth, is having its major fundraiser for the year, a talent show on March 9th. The show will be including dancers, singers, a live comedy skit, and even a live band! The show will start at 7PM in the school’s cafeteria. All seats will be at $5. All proceeds will benefit the music department and come support the local entertainers!

On February 4th, the school will be having Students-LED conference starting after school (3:30PM) until 7:00PM in the evening. This is an opportunity for students to show their progress, grades, and goals for this trimester that will be ending in February. There will be free food served in the cafeteria, awesomely served by the lunch ladies. For any additional information, please check the link below!
On Monday January 26, Idaho Public Television will be airing a program with Joan Cartan-Hansen and a panel of professionals from education field. They will be discussing practical advice for high school students on how they will continue their post-secondary schooling from choosing the right college to financial aid. During this live broadcast, students and parents will be able to call-in with questions about scholarship and college applications and anything else. Representatives from the state’s college will provide some awesome info regarding inquire.

The school will be dismissing students early on January 23, a Friday, for a teacher work-day. The students will be dismissed at 12:35 and buses will run at 12:45.

The local Men’s Club here in Castleford offers a scholarship to the graduation seniors at the school. Below is a link of the application. Applications are due January 15th, though late applications will still be accepted.
